Temple Garden

Also known as: Taman Pura

Temple Garden is a group of temple structures and statues placed on the sand in front of Temple Wall at Pemuteran as an artificial reef project of local dive centres. The deeper part begins at about 30 m with an ornate Balinese gateway and statues of Buddha, Ganesha and turtles, and a later stage around 15 m lets less experienced divers visit as well. Corals and sponges have grown over the statues, cleaning shrimps crowd a bommie decorated with Buddha heads, and electric clams live in the cracks of the wall behind it. Besides them, angelfish, lionfish, octopus and cuttlefish are common. Visibility is generally moderate and currents gentle.
