Sidem
Sidem lies in a small bay south of Batu Niti, near the Batu Belah temple, between Tulamben and Amed. Divers enter from a pebble beach where fishing boats rest and cross a shallow plateau about 20 m wide before a black sand slope curves along the bay. The middle of the bay is the place for critters such as warty frogfish, thorny seahorses, ghost pipefish, boxer crabs and many nudibranchs. The right side and corner of the bay have a shallow hard coral reef where turtles, leaf scorpionfish and occasionally whitetip reef sharks are seen. Rinse tanks, gazebos and a small café on the beach make it easy to spend two dives here.
