Melasti
Also known as: Melasti Tulamben
Melasti is a shore dive close to Seraya Secret, on the black sand coast south of Tulamben village. A few rocks in the shallows give way to an open sand slope with almost no coral, which reaches well beyond 30 m. On one side, patches of halimeda algae and seagrass are home to tiny Costasiella and Stiliger nudibranchs, while the other side has rubble and sponges with frogfish, seahorses and ghost pipefish. Rarer finds reported by divers include rhinopias and doto nudibranchs. The site rewards slow diving close to the bottom with a guide who knows where to look.
