Manta Point
Most dives focus on a large rock that serves as a cleaning station, where mantas circle and are groomed by small fish, sometimes several at a time. The sandy bottom lies at about 12 to 18 m with big boulders, stingrays, octopus and nudibranchs, and bamboo and nurse sharks are seen on the reef. The site is exposed to swell, which causes surge and occasionally makes entry impossible, and boats cannot reach it every day. Water comes straight in from the Indian Ocean and can be as cool as 21 to 22 degrees C. In mola season sunfish are sometimes spotted in deeper water.
