Blue Lagoon
The bay has a white sand bottom with coral bommies in the shallows, where sweetlips, snappers and many reef fish gather. The sand slopes into deeper water, and a wall on one side is covered in feather stars and hides cuttlefish and juvenile batfish. Resident blue-spotted rays, a large Napoleon wrasse, scorpionfish, moray eels and many nudibranchs are regular sightings, and seahorses turn up on the sandy slope. Visibility is usually good and there is rarely current, so dive centres use the site for training and Discover Scuba Diving. Night dives can reveal Spanish dancers, crabs and cuttlefish.
