SD

Also known as: Sekolah Dasar · Sekolah Desa

The reef starts in a few metres of water, so snorkelling is possible when the current allows, and slopes down past large coral heads and barrel sponges. It is known for a diverse mix of corals and sponges and for a resident school of batfish. Turtles, marbled rays, sea snakes, octopus and whitetip reef sharks are regular sightings, and fields of branching coral at the end of the dive are full of blue damselfish. When the current runs strongly the dive becomes more demanding, and in mola season the upwelling cools the water to about 22 degrees C.
