Pura Ped

Also known as: Ped

The reef slopes gently from the beach to around 15 to 17 m before steepening, with stretches of deep wall towards Sental. Currents run east or west and can change direction during a dive, so it is usually done as a drift; at slack water it becomes a slow, relaxed dive. Towering hard corals, staghorn patches, soft corals and barrel sponges host moray eels, Moorish idols, giant trevally, Napoleon wrasse and sea snakes. World Diving Lembongan rates it their best site for green turtles, which rest on or feed from the reef. Mantas, chevron barracuda and occasional mola mola visit the area.
