Mangrove
Also known as: Mangroves
From the beach the bottom slopes gently to around 18 m before dropping more steeply, and groups typically drift at 16 to 18 m. Boats choose the drop-in point by the current, which runs east or west. Small bommies and table corals hide ribbon eels, mantis shrimps, octopus and pufferfish. Turtles, barracuda and marbled rays pass in deeper water, and sharks are seen occasionally. Visibility usually ranges from 15 to 30 m.
