Kubu Reef

Also known as: Kubu

Right off the beach a shallow reef of staghorn coral holds schools of reef fish. A black sand slope with nudibranchs, eels, cuttlefish and leaf scorpionfish leads to two small walls, where gentle drift dives pass sea fans with pygmy seahorses, barrel sponges and hard and soft corals. AquaMarine's guides often meet reef sharks, turtles, barracuda and bumphead parrotfish here. Dive The World calls it a quieter site with healthy coral cover.
