Gili Mimpang
Also known as: Mimpang · Shark Point · Batu Tiga
From the surface Mimpang looks like three large rocks; below the surface it turns into ridges and boulders, and the south side drops as a steep wall. Whitetip reef sharks patrol among the rocks, which is why the site is also called Shark Point. Schools of sweetlips, bannerfish, unicornfish and batfish are common, the shallows are mostly table and leather corals, and stingrays rest on the sand patches. Tuna and, in season, mola mola pass by. Conditions range from calm to challenging, and the site bottoms out at about 30 m.
