Gamat Bay
The bay floor is sand with coral patches and bommies, crowded with soft corals, gorgonians and table corals and full of reef fish and nudibranchs. Inside the bay the surge is predictable and visibility is usually excellent. Beyond the mouth of the bay the slope steepens and the current turns the dive into a drift. The rich part of the slope between 10 and 20 m has big bommies for shelter, plus overhangs and small caves where whitetip reef sharks and turtles rest. In season it can be a reliable place to see mola mola.
