Halerman
Halerman sits among the southern sites of Alor, where upwelling can drop the water to about 22 C without warning. The topography is playful, with a steep wall and a large overhang, and a big rock where nurse sharks often sleep. The cold attracts unusual visitors such as thresher sharks and mola mola, and dolphins and melon-headed whales have been seen. Trevally, barracuda, dogtooth tuna and reef sharks are common, and hammerheads appear in season.
