Starfish describes the whole area as carpeted with anemones, a sight seen in very few places, and the provincial list calls the site Anemone Fields. Wobbegong carpet sharks are seen regularly on the reef. The current brings nutrients that support healthy coral and soft coral colonies. Reef sharks, eagle rays, schools of barracuda and trevally, tuna and Napoleon wrasse are frequent.
