The descent passes the steep submerged coast to a plateau at about 15 m bounded by a rockfall, then continues over a deeper level of scattered boulders. At 25 to 30 m a steep slope carries red gorgonian fans, often with catshark eggs, and the holes hold lobsters, conger and moray eels, forkbeards and octopus. Experienced divers can see a rare false black coral at about 40 m. Shallower, a canyon with scattered boulders at about 10 m narrows up to 6 m, where a large crevice is worth a torch. Barracuda, brown meagre, dentex and big groupers are frequent on the way up.
