Equipment is lowered on a rope and pulley to a wooden deck at the water. The downstream dive reaches an air dome after about 15 to 20 minutes, where jungle roots hang into green water and bats roost. The other circuit is a dense landscape of formations that dive centres call one of the most beautiful cavern dives anywhere. Very fine silt on the floor means divers must frog kick, and Ko'ox checks buoyancy on an earlier dive before taking guests here. The cenote featured in the BBC series Planet Earth, and the owner currently allows only cavern tours.
