Dos Ojos
The two round sinkholes sit side by side and share a cavern zone filled with large stalactites, stalagmites and columns in exceptionally clear water. The Barbie Line runs past the western eye with light beams and fossils, and a Barbie doll held by a toy crocodile marks a point along the line. The Bat Cave line is darker and leads to an air dome where divers surface under a roosting bat colony. Dive centres give a cavern maximum of roughly 8.5 to 10 m, so dives are long and relaxed, and Open Water divers with a cavern guide are accepted. The cave system behind the cenote runs for more than 80 km and also includes The Pit and Dos Palmas.
