Gorishoek De Blokken
Also known as: De Blokken · De Plaat · Gorishoek De Plaat · De Veenblokken
From the car park divers walk several hundred metres, about a quarter of an hour, across the drained flats of the Dortsman to the edge of the channel and then descend along the peat edge. The peat bottom, rare in Zeeland, slopes steeply towards the channel without dumped stones, and the blocks are colourful with orange anemones. Lobsters, crabs, nudibranchs, pouting, flatfish and bobtail squid live among them. The current is strong and can come from different directions during a dive, so precise planning around low-water slack is essential. Duikspotter advises inflating the jacket on the walk in, so that divers do not sink unexpectedly when they reach the peat edge.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
