Secca di Capo Fonza
Also known as: Fonza Pinnacle · Secca di Fonza
The wall facing east is almost vertical and nearly every hollow holds red coral branches a few centimetres long, together with lobsters, forkbeards, nudibranchs, morays and congers. Two small grottoes with sponge-covered walls lie along the route. On the south side a plateau at around 25 m is rich in yellow gorgonians, groupers and octopus. Barracuda and amberjacks hunt around the shoal. Currents can be strong at times, which keeps the colours vivid.
