Punta della Madonna
Also known as: Cape Madonna
The dive begins on a submerged dome next to the point and drops along a wall full of cracks to roughly 40 m. A vertical canyon rises from about 35 to 18 m, and its sponge- and sea-daisy-covered fissures shelter lobsters, squat lobsters, slipper lobsters and cowries. Yellow gorgonians grow on the wall, and the deeper part is home to lobsters and a resident European lobster. Beginners can stay shallow among congers, morays and schools of bream. A statue placed on the site is passed on the way back to the boat.
