Daedalus South Plateau

The southern end of Daedalus is where the liveaboards moor below the lighthouse, above a plateau rather than a sheer wall. Divers descend directly from the boat onto the plateau, where soft corals grow along the reef edge and remains of the old pier and steel from the lighthouse lie on the bottom. Thresher sharks are looked for here, and oceanic whitetips and turtles are reported over the plateau. Because the plateau lies deep, divers watch their bottom time and make the safety stop on the southern wall.
