Little Brother
Also known as: Little Brother Island · Small Brother Island
The island runs from north-west to south-east and is ringed by near-vertical walls except at its northern point, where the reef slopes out to a plateau at about 40 m before falling into very deep water. Divers wait near the plateau edge for grey reef sharks, silvertips and occasional hammerheads or threshers. The east and west walls are usually drifted and are covered in giant gorgonian fans, black corals and dense soft coral, with fish schools hanging off the wall. The current tends to run north to south, so dives often end near the southern tip where the boats moor. Little Brother is smaller and more exposed than Big Brother, and conditions can make it undiveable.
