Anemone City

Also known as: Nemo City

Along a section of the western wall of Daedalus, sea anemones grow so densely that the reef seems to sway in the current, home to many endemic Red Sea anemonefish and dottybacks. Red Sea Diving ranks the colony among the largest in the Red Sea, while Seawolf counts more than 200 anemones on the west side. The densest part lies in shallow water, with Red Sea Diving placing it at 5 to 10 m. Divers usually enter at the northern end of the western side and drift south with the reef on their left. Further south on this wall Seawolf describes a giant hard coral formation that cascades from about 4 to 19 m.
