USS New York
Also known as: USS New York (ACR-2)
Launched in the 1890s as the US Navy's second armoured cruiser, the ship later carried the names Saratoga and Rochester and was laid up at Subic in 1933. She was scuttled in 1941 so that her guns could not fall into Japanese hands, and later demolition work flattened much of her midsection to clear the harbour for deep-draft ships. The hull, about 110 m long, lies on its port side, and the bow guns, the aft guns and one propeller are still intact. The gun deck allows a gentle first penetration, while trained wreck divers can reach the boiler and engine rooms. Because the site lies in the shipping lane near the port, visibility is often limited and a harbour patrol clearance is needed.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
