Ras Nasrani

The dive starts on a small sandy plateau and heads north towards the cape, where the current picks up and brings richer soft coral growth. Large gorgonians stand at around 20 m before the reef turns into broad banks of porites coral heads. Below the plateau the reef has two deeper walls that, according to Red Sea Marine, many guides overlook because of their depth. A red anemone sits in the coral garden at about 18 m, and the shallow porites garden is a good place for a safety stop and for snorkellers. ScubaGo notes that eagle rays, mantas and even whale sharks can turn up here.
