White Knight
Also known as: Wichita Falls
White Knight splits into two parts: a sandy plateau with a garden eel colony running from the fringing reef to the drop-off, and a canyon in the south-west that bottoms out around 40 m. Swim-throughs open into the canyon at roughly 10 m and 35 m, which makes the site popular for training dives that need depth. Red Sea Marine says the site was once called Wichita Falls because sand keeps flowing down the canyon, and that remains of a sunken dive boat lie on the reef. Small life is plentiful, while groupers, triggerfish and summer mantas add bigger encounters.
