Ras Bob

Also known as: Labyrinth

Ras Bob is named after the underwater cameraman Bob Johnson, who worked in Sharm for many years; Circle Divers says it was earlier called Labyrinth because of its shallow swim-through caves. Unlike most local sites the coral plateau is narrow, so the shallows are a chain of little coral gardens separated by the reef and linked by passages. Lower down the sand holds one of the largest garden eel colonies on the coast. Blue-spotted stingrays and crocodilefish rest on the sand, and a large napoleon wrasse is a regular companion. The site can be dived from a mooring or as a drift towards Ras Nasrani.
