Ras Katy
Also known as: Ras Caty
Circle Divers says Ras Katy is named after a woman who used to sunbathe on the beach here and was greeted by the boat skippers. Around the main pinnacles the seabed slopes from about 5 m to a drop-off near 18 to 20 m, with table corals, anthias, glassfish and lionfish. Following the drop-off south-east leads to a ridge with gorgonians where red-toothed triggerfish and bannerfish school. A resident whitetip reef shark is reported in deeper water, and a local current sometimes allows a drift towards Temple.
