Ras Peter
Also known as: Tank Garden · Tank Reef · Panzer Riff · Tank Graveyard
The site holds around thirty Universal or Bren carriers and about five Bedford trucks, together with other vehicles that 2dive4 says were dumped into the sea in March 1957 after the Suez Crisis. The first vehicle lies at about 6 m and the deeper ones overlap each other, while some lie on their sides or upside down and others still stand on their tracks. Corals have hardly grown on the metal, so the shapes remain easy to read, and the rubber truck wheels are especially well preserved. An unexploded landmine is also reported among the wrecks. Wrasse, lionfish, groupers, triggerfish, Napoleon wrasse, bannerfish and moray eels live around the vehicles.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
