Temple
Temple lies in the bay between Ras Umm Sid and Ras Katy, where a sandy plateau slopes gently seaward. The main pinnacle almost reaches the surface and is split by a crack, which Circle Divers attributes to the 1995 earthquake, forming a swim-through; another pinnacle has a passage at about 18 m. The pinnacles are covered in hard and soft corals, gorgonians and glassfish, with stonefish, scorpionfish, crocodilefish and morays hiding in between. At night basket stars unfold in the light current. Its popularity means the site can be crowded, especially in the afternoon.
