Froggy Lair
Also known as: Froggie's Lair · Froggy's Lair
Visibility is often poor here, and the method is to search slowly and closely rather than look into the distance. Frogfish of many colours hold territories for weeks, so guides usually know where the current residents sit. Nudibranchs, ornate ghost pipefish, scorpionfish, crocodilefish and cuttlefish hide among rubble, old tyres and other debris. The most sought-after find is the flamboyant cuttlefish, most often seen at night. The shallow profile allows long dives, which suits macro photographers.
