Cleaning Station
The descent ends on the reef top at about 5 metres and move slowly down the slope in a usually mild current. Turtles gather around an old wooden boat wreck and at the cleaning stations along the reef. Searching the rubble and coral reveals ornate ghost pipefish, frogfish, stonefish, octopus and, rarely, mandarinfish. Large jawfish burrows in the sand are more common here than at many other places. Dive The World notes that Kapalai's sites run into one another and that some are decorated with mock pylons and huts to attract life.
