Eel Garden
The coral slope ends on a sandy plateau at around 22 metres where hundreds of garden eels sway and vanish into their burrows when divers come close. Frogfish in several colours live on the sponges and rubble and often stay in place for weeks. Blue ribbon eels, giant mantis shrimp, gobies and batfish complete the picture, and Scuba Junkie has recorded rhinopias here. Out in the blue, spotted eagle rays are a frequent sight. The site is calm, suits all levels and is also dived at night.
