Mid Reef (Kapalai)
A mooring line leads divers down to the top of the site at around 15 metres, where the reef continues down to about 25 to 30 metres. Schooling snappers and redtooth triggerfish swim along the reef. As at the rest of Kapalai, the main draw is small life: rare nudibranchs, ghost pipefish, ribbon eels and, with patience, pygmy seahorses on the coral. Flamboyant cuttlefish are occasionally found.
