Wreck of the Comet

Also known as: Comet · Port Hadlock

The Comet rests close to shore near Port Hadlock in 15 to 40 ft, making it an easy shore wreck dive. Most of the hull is still intact at a steep angle, with sections of deck and the bow standing, and debris on the bottom provides habitat for critters. Divers enter from the beach south of the boat launch and swim along the slope to the wreck. A private oyster farm nearby must not be disturbed, and boats from the launch call for a dive flag.
