Point Hudson

Also known as: Point Hudson jetty

Point Hudson lies at the northern end of Port Townsend, and Octopus Gardens Diving counts it among its favourite sites. Divers explore the jetty and a pair of pilings to the right, whose plumose anemones form what the local shop calls a cathedral of metridium. Nudibranchs, octopus, anemones and fish are always present, and logs between about 45 and 75 ft hold giant Pacific octopus dens. PNW Diving notes that a marina rebuild in 2024 set the marine life back. The site must be dived on the right part of the tide, never on an ebb, and boat traffic in and out of the marina is heavy.
