Anna Foss Tug

Also known as: Anne Foss Tug · Anna Foss

The tug was built in 1907 as the Vigilant, later converted to diesel and renamed Anna Foss by Foss Towing in 1933. After decades of service she was anchored here for conversion and sank through neglect in September 1969. The hull is breaking up, but the engine and several salvage pontoons are still visible around the wreckage. Mosshead warbonnets, gunnels and helmet crabs live under the disintegrating hull. Colvos Passage carries heavy boat traffic, so a dive flag is needed.
