Cervera Shoal
Also known as: Snake Island · Spaghetti Shoal
Cervera Shoal is an underwater plateau with no landmarks above water, so divers often descend into the blue until the reef appears. Its top lies at roughly 8 to 12 m and is covered in sea urchins, so buoyancy matters. The shoal is famous for black-and-white banded sea kraits, and white-eyed and starry morays, nudibranchs and colourful feather stars are common. Currents are often strong, the safety stop is made in open water with a marker buoy, and the site is often combined with Pamilacan.
