Meersburg Wilder Mann
Also known as: Wilder Mann
The entry is a stone staircase beside the former hotel Wilder Mann, leading onto a knee to waist deep rock shelf. A wall drops to about 12 m, and a face carved into a notch at about 5 m helps with orientation on the way up. Following a debris slope to about 40 m brings divers to the old Meersburg lake fountain, a curiosity once used to spray water on Sundays. To the east lie old harbour timbers, a further wall and car wrecks at about 22 m, while technical divers can reach two more cars and the wreck of the Old Joe, a home-built copy of the Santa Maria, at around 63 m. To the west a wall with many overhangs starts at about 15 m and drops beyond recreational depth.
