Ludwigshafen Lehmschiff
Also known as: Lehmschiff · Lädine · Lehmfrachter · Segmer Wrack · Wrack Lädine
From the car park on Bahnhofstrasse divers cross the level crossing and wade through a wide, weedy shallow area before the bottom starts to slope. At about 20 m a turn to the west leads to the hull of a historic flat-bottomed cargo sailer of the Lädine type, which carried salt, grain and building materials across the lake for centuries. An information board of the project 'Museum unter Wasser' stands next to the wreck, and more old wooden piles follow at the same depth. Crayfish and small fish live among the timbers. Visibility is often murky near the surface and improves below about 6 m, and winter brings the clearest water.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
