Meersburg Plätzle
Also known as: Meersburg Fähre/Plätzle · Bodensee-Meersburg Plätzle /Fähre
Plätzle is entered from a gravel beach reached by a short flight of steps beside the road towards Uhldingen. A few metres out the bottom breaks off into a wall full of small overhangs, cracks and fissures that reaches roughly 22 m. Further west along the slope a single notched boulder sits at about 27 m, and shoals of fish gather over the whole site, especially in the shallows. Divers report crayfish, perch and eels hiding in the mussel-covered rock. The engines of the Konstanz ferries can be heard throughout the dive, and the 100 m zone around the ferry harbour is closed to divers, so the dive heads west only.
