Before it was sunk the superstructure was cut away, so the hull rests with its second deck as the top level at around 30 ft and holes cut into the sides. Divers can drop into the cargo holds, where remaining machinery and catwalks are found, and penetration is possible through the stern section. Sea turtles have been found sleeping in the holds and the site is known for flounder late in summer. Being close to the beach, visibility is usually low, and Olympus notes it is visited only occasionally.
