British Splendour

The ship was carrying gasoline for Britain when it was torpedoed despite an armed escort. The wreck is still basically intact, with a large tear amidships and the torpedo hole in the engine room. Its interior shelters many fish, and Dive Hatteras has seen goliath grouper in the stern along with eels and baitfish. Outside, lemon sharks, large rays and turtles are often seen. Storms keep reshaping the wreck, and Dive Hatteras calls it a great dive for both novice and experienced divers.
