San Juan

Also known as: San Juan Reef

The reef is low in profile and covered by large fields of finger coral and lettuce coral, with barrel sponges and red seaweed between them. Thousands of damselfish live in the coral, and the few ledges shelter French grunts and schoolmasters. In places the reef forms a slight wall, elsewhere it stays flat, and divers can go deeper towards the drop-off. Green moray eels, drumfish, lobsters, turtles and sharks are named by local operators. On calm days the site is described as a very pretty dive.
