Concrete Blocks at Casitas

Also known as: Bloques de Concreto de Casitas

After the hurricane the pier rubble was moved to this spot, where it now forms a shallow artificial reef. The blocks lie in roughly 6 m of water and shelter pufferfish, small snappers and triggerfish. The site is shallow and calm near the bottom, so it is used for beginner and try-dive sessions. Divers usually cross it after entering the water at Las Casitas and continue over sand and seagrass towards the two sunken patrol boats.
