Blue Lagoon
The lagoon owes its colour to a sandy bottom that reflects the light, and the inner bay is only around 3 to 5 m deep. Along the edges limestone ledges and boulders shelve down to the deepest part, where Posidonia meadows grow. Octopus, scorpionfish, bream and salema are common, and nudibranchs hide among the rocks. Divers use it as a calm site for beginners and buoyancy practice. In summer the lagoon fills with tourist boats, so dive centres recommend early or late dives and ascending on the boat line.
