P31
Also known as: P31 Patrol Boat · Patrol Boat 31 · Pasewalk
The ship was built in East Germany as the Kondor I class minesweeper Pasewalk and was sold to Malta in 1992, where it later served as patrol boat P31 until 2004. The Malta Tourism Authority then had it made safe, removed doors, engines and mast, and sank it on 24 August 2009. The top of the wreck lies only about 7 m below the surface and the sand under the bow at around 20 m, so the whole ship can be explored in one dive. Divers can swim through the hull from the stern to the bow, although sand has filled part of the engine room. Storms in the winter of 2010 to 2011 shifted the wreck, which now lies some 25 m from its buoy. Nudibranchs, octopus, triggerfish and filefish live on the hull, and rays and razorfish are seen on the surrounding sand.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
