Shark Fin Rock
Shark Fin Rock takes its name from the rock that breaks the surface and resembles a shark's fin at low tide. Undersea Hunter calls it an advanced dive that needs knowledge and preparation, with noticeable swell and current. Done well, it is among the best dives at Cocos: visibility is usually clear, and marble rays mate here. Mantas, mobula and eagle rays, hammerheads, silky sharks and dolphins are seen, together with the island's largest school of jacks.
