Forney's Cove

Forney's Cove is the most protected anchorage around Fraser Point in all but a strong south swell. A rocky reef slopes down to sand, with scallops, calico bass and sheephead on the rocks and occasional halibut on the sand. The shallow water holds plenty of kelp and macro life, including fringehead blennies and nudibranchs. Near the cove the water boils over wash rocks known as the Potato Patch.
