Black Cavern

Also known as: Black Caverns

Santa Barbara Island has a number of underwater caverns, and Black Cavern is reputed to be the largest. The rocky reef around it is full of crevices and ledges with sheephead, lobsters, rockfish and kelp bass and rich invertebrate life. There is plenty of room between floor and ceiling inside the cavern. Its depth makes it a site for advanced divers.
