Cuba Wreck

Also known as: Cuba

The Cuba is the best-known of the many ships stranded on San Miguel's shores. It was a steam-powered passenger vessel that ran aground at Point Bennett in 1923. Scuba Diving magazine notes that the wreck is open to divers and that much of its steam machinery can still be seen a century later. As a historic wreck in the national park and sanctuary it is protected.
